In order to support Uzbek workers abroad, Uzbekistan is setting up new jobs in its Consulate General. The function of an attaché for labor migration is intended to ensure that skilled workers from the Central Asian country who are working abroad have contacts for social issues, legal and bureaucratic problems and other areas.
An attaché for labor migration is also being installed in Germany. The population of Uzbekistan has a very young average age, namely 27 years. By comparison, the average age in Germany is 45. In no other country in the world are there more people per capita learning German as a foreign language. Uzbekistan is therefore of great importance to Germany as a labor pool.
In the last two years, the Uzbek Employment Agency has sent 70,000 Uzbeks abroad.
