On February 26, the ambassadors of the Republic of Yemen, the Republic of Türkiye, the Dominican Republic and the Kingdom of Thailand presented their credentials to Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in an official ceremony at Bellevue Palace.
The new accredited ambassadors are:
Loai Yahya Abdulrahman Al-Eryani, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen
Gökhan Turan, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye
Iris Joseline Pujol Rodriguez, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic
Chittipat Tongprasroeth, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand
In Germany, newly appointed ambassadors can only officially act after they have presented their credentials to the Federal President. After the ceremony, they become official representatives of their country. During the ceremony, the flag of the ambassador's home country is raised in the middle of three flagpoles between the European flag and the German federal flag.
